BEAUTY DOES ATL “PETS AND THIER PEOPLE” PORTRAIT EVENT | ATLANTA, GA

April 17, 2021

In honor of National Pet Day this month Beauty Does ATL and I decided to celebrate our best friends! How could we have made it through the last year without their cuddles? Some of us even got NEW furry best friends because of the last year! We didn’t know how much of an overwhelming response we would get, which was fantastic because not only were we celebrating our best friends but we used this as an opportunity to donate to Orphan Annie Rescue. 50% of all proceeds from each session went to Orphan Annie Rescue and we raised $138 to donate! So many beautiful creatures and their beautiful humans joined us for what was a very special day.

Let’s take a look at all our beautiful fur babies and their people! If you are so inclined, please do also consider making your own donation to Orphan Annie Rescue and be on the lookout for more amazing shoots coming to you from Beauty Does ATL!

BEHIND THE SCENES VIDEO!

Cassandra Ciesla With Honey

Honey (or Dog-Dog, Bog-Bog, Bog-Dog, Big Fluffy, Big Barky, Barky Big, etc) is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees that my mom rescued last October! She’s my mom’s dog (technically) but I’ve been here the whole time we’ve had her. She lived on a farm with her entire family until Covid- that’s when they were all surrendered because the family had to move back to Japan. She was moved between two families until we finally adopted her. There was probably some abuse in her past because she flinches lot and general other doggy displays of distress :(

I’m moving back to Chicago May 26th and I’m so sad about having to leave her. This photo shoot is in honor of all the time we got to spend together over the past several months :’)

Elizabeth and Mark Hammontree with Montana

Montana is our dog’s name, and she is very energetic and very spunky. She is some kind of collie mix, with lots of energy and a tail that just won’t quit.

Gina Dropp with Cocoa

I rescued Cocoa on December 19, 2015 from a family run group called your new best friend. Cocoa had recently been deemed in an unsafe environment by a vet and removed from her previous owners care due to abuse. It took many months of rehabilitation for Cocoa to feel safe and happy. Luckily, my work as a nanny and the wonderful families I have worked for over the years have allowed me to take her to work with me almost 100% of the time.

Cocoa has a BIG personality and many nicknames. Some of them are Cocoa Bean, Coconut, Cokie, and Lady Mary Crawley (she can be stuck up, a little english, definitely prissy, and most of all- a whiner).

Cocoa is my best friend, a wonderful companion, and excellent listening ear. She loves working with children and is a highly trained toddler babysitter (the ultimate assistant really). Cocoa does love to chase squirrels, but is generally a very good listener and well trained.

Zac Phelps with Cash and Tonka

Cash: White Pitbull Rescue. The sweetest big boi you'll ever meet. He enjoys long walks outside, sunbathing, drinking all the water, napping on the couch (snoring extremely loud) and SNACKIES

Tonka: hocolate Pitbull Rescue: His number one desire is human attention and affection. The most talkative dog for no reason whatsoever. Loves playing with his little brother, sunbathing next to Cash, chewing on pillows and thinking he's a lap dog.

Raj Raheja with Minnie and Nixie

Two very special pups adopted through Orphan Annie Rescue!

Gamble with Nina

Sydney Lee with Appa and Momo

Appa (7) is a grumpy old man cat who loves cuddles, yelling for food, and head scratches. He spends most of his day finding different spots to nap.

Momo (2) is just as goofy as he is curious and affectionate. He's a not so little ball of fluff who is also a bit dumb sometimes
