MCFARLANE NATURE PARK

McFarlane Nature Park offers a unique and picturesque setting for your photography session. Tucked away in a serene and private corner of East Cobb, this location is a hidden gem that provides a perfect backdrop for capturing memorable moments. The park's sprawling fields, charming old white horse barn, and lush greenery offer a variety of natural settings that can elevate any photo shoot. Whether you're looking for wide-open spaces or a rustic touch, McFarlane Nature Park has it all.

One of the park's standout features is its tranquility. Unlike more crowded public parks, McFarlane Nature Park is quiet and secluded, ensuring that we can enjoy a relaxed and undisturbed session. It's also dog-friendly, making it an ideal choice for anyone who want to include their furry friends in their photos!

The park holds a rich history, adding a layer of depth and character to your session. Originally purchased in 1958 by Florence and William McFarlane, the property has been preserved as a natural green space in accordance with Florence's wishes. The park is steeped in local history, with ties to prominent Atlanta families and a house designed by the renowned architect Henry Toombs, who also designed the Little White House for President Roosevelt.

McFarlane Nature Park is not just beautiful; it's also a community treasure. Maintained and restored through the efforts of local organizations and volunteers, the park reflects the dedication of the surrounding community. This connection to the local heritage and the sense of preservation makes it a meaningful place to capture timeless memories.

Best of all, shooting at McFarlane Nature Park is free, making it an excellent option for everyone. The combination of historical significance, natural beauty, and peaceful surroundings makes McFarlane Nature Park a top recommendation and is one of my all time favorite locations.
